The Owls morning began with Spanish Class. Alicia has been teaching us how to pronounce our Zoo animals' names in Spanish. Friends are becoming very fluent with their pronunciations. Here is the list of the animals we have been working on.

After Spanish, friends had Choice Time. The Owls are becoming such great artists. Their drawings are becoming more purposeful with a lot of detail and color. Recently, friends have been drawing pictures to go along with what they are playing during Choice Time. For instance today friends were pretending to go on an adventure, so they all drew a map which they used to lead them where they needed to go.
After Choice Time, three friends presented their research reports. We learned that Tortoises can live up to 150 years. Chameleons have four toes on each foot and two of the toes face forward and two face backwards. On our last report, we learned that anacondas can grow to the size of a school bus. The Owls are enjoying how much they are learning about the many different zoo animal facts.
The Owl's finished up their morning by attending The Fourth Grade Fair. The fourth graders set up different booths of activities and games for friends to participate in. The Owls especially enjoyed the face painting and scooter racing. However their favorite part was that they were all able to pick one prize off the prize table! After the fair, we headed back to our classroom to enjoy our delicious lunches and to cuddle up with our new lovies for rest time.
