The Owl's started their Morning off in Music Class. Friends paired up to make movements to a song.
Next, friends played a game where one friend went in the middle and covered their eyes while the other friends hid four leaf clovers. Once all the clovers were hidden, the friend in the center listened to see where the chime was coming from which was a clue as to where the clover was hiding.
To finish up Music class, Aedien taught friends an Irish dance which friends LOVED learning!
After Music, friends headed back to our room where we had Morning Meeting and a Moment of Silence. During Morning Meeting, Danielle told friends a story about her family's tradition growing up and being Irish. Danielle gets together with her mom and sisters every year before St. Patricks Day to make hundred of Irish Potatoes, so they can hand them out to their family, neighbors and friends. To continue with Danielle's family's tradition, The Owls helped Danielle make Irish Potatoes during Choice Time to hand out to our friends at school! Here is her family's "secret" recipe!
During Choice Time, friends were able to help make the Irish Potatoes, draw, build with the magnatiles or play with the trains.
After Choice Time, friends headed to Library where Michelle read us two books! Ask your Owl if they remember the titles of either of the stories. To finish up our morning, friends went around school and delivered their delicious treats to people around school!
