The Owls day began with Meeting for Worship in our classroom. Friends sat quietly and still, and listened to the book A Quiet Place.
The Owls were given freshly squeezed strawberry juice to try this morning. As friends tried to sip their juice, they realized it was not "working." APRIL FOOLS! The juice turned out to be jello!
Friends enjoyed the April Fools joke so much that they decided to trick teachers around the school. In art, friends fooled Amanda.
Amanda read us a Faith Ringgold book about quilts.
Amanda explained and illustrated how friends would be designing their own quilts.
Friends got to work by glueing down different colored pieces of paper onto the squares provided on the paper.
Once friends were complete with glueing, each was given a gold colored Sharpie to use to add detail and design to their quilt.
After art, and some choice time, friends got to work fooling teachers around the school.
Below, friends fooled Jeanne and Paula.
Friends ended their April Fools Day joke in the Upper School.
The Owls were successful in all of their fooling.
Ask your Owl what part of Aprils Fools Day they enjoyed most.
