During morning meeting. the Owls read The Wolf's Chicken Stew. Next, we played Roll the Dye, where we roll a dye with different prepositions, and friends place their lovies accordingly. After morning meeting, friends headed into choice time.
We practiced our letter sounds using the overhead projector. Once the letter was displayed, friends would make the sound and share a word that began with the letter.
Friends did such a great job with letter sounds that they were up for the challenge of sounding out words.
Outside, the Owls enjoyed the beautiful weather. Friends baked cakes, built structures as a team, climbed, and ran around in the sunshine.
Ask your Owl the sound the letter T makes, and a word that begins with T.
