The Owl's morning started off with Alicia in Spanish Class. Today, friends hopped on their planes and flew to Chile!
Once all the planes landed safely on the ground, Alicia brought out a "grande" book about buses. Friends helped Alicia count in Spanish the amount of buses that appeared on the page. See if your Owl remembers how to say bus in Spanish.
After Spanish class, friends had Morning Meeting and a Moment of Silence. Next, friends headed off to Choice Time. Friends were able to choose between Magnatiles, Drawing, Easels, Dramatic Play and People.
The Owls have been putting their imaginations to good use when playing in the Dramatic Play area and with the People. They are beginning to reenact real life situations such as making dinners that consist of macaroni and cheese, jelly sandwiches and brownies. Once dinner is made, everyone then sits down at the table to enjoy it! Meanwhile, others have been using their problem solving skills on what they should do when their babies will not stop crying!
The Owls are also becoming great architects and contractors in the building center. Today friends built a HUGE magnatile tower! This tower was super special because its base was supported by pyramids made of magnatiles.
After all of our buildings were constructed, dinner was eaten and pictures were hung, friends headed outside to enjoy our outdoor classroom. We finished up our morning by meeting up with the Catbirds to explore our campus. Friends tested all of their Gross Motor Skills by jumping, running, balancing and rolling down hills. We then said goodbye to our friends, the Catbirds, and headed back to our room where we enjoyed our delicious lunches!
