Sew, Sew, Sew our Quilt!

The Owls day started off in Music Class. After warming up our voices with Aedin's Ladybug, we played the Ladybug Game!

"Squeak, squeak."

Friends read a book about pumpkins, which was accompanied with music.

Each time the word, "Pumpkin," was said in the book, friends were asked to tap their musical instrument. Friends listened for the word "Pumpkin," and took turns using the different instruments.

Owls listened to music, and moved their scarves to the beat.

Friends enjoyed all of the music and movement.

After Music Class, the Owls came back to the classroom for Morning Meeting and a Moment of Silence.

Time to go over the Daily Schedule!

Friends worked together to build a zoo!

Other Owls chose to cook dinner together.

Friends helped one another get dressed for "work."

In the library, Doris read Not Norman.

Each time "Not Norman" was said in the book, Doris held up a sheet that said, "Not Norman," so we could all read along.

Time for Owls to choose their own books!

Once a friend chose a book, it was time to take it over to Michelle to check it out!

Friends found comfortable spots in the library to read their books.

The Owls started working on our Classroom Quilt!

Owls took turns sewing on their quilt square.

While Danielle did the hand work, friends pressed the foot pedal.

Outside, Owls made soup!

Pond water is a main ingredient!

Friends helped the Catbirds take the kernels off of corn. This was a good way for friends to practice fine motor skills.

One Owl used materials from outside to construct a bird.

Ask your Owl if they remember the name of the goldfish from the story we read in the library.
