Searching for Scarecrows

Rather than keeping the beat with the drum, Aedin played the piano today to keep the beat when friends entered Music Class.

Depending on the beat, friends either marched, walked, or tiptoed around the room.

We read the story, "Five Little Pumpkins," and made hand gestures to go along with the different parts of the book.

Once the Owls completed the activity over on the Music Mat, they headed back to their spots in the circle, where they listened and moved their bodies to the different pitches of music.

To end Music Class, friends took turns playing different instruments and making sounds accordingly.

During Library, Doris read us, "This is Fall."

Once friends finished reading a couple of stories together, it was time for them to browse some books, before choosing which book they would like to check out themselves.

Some friends chose to sit together to read and look through the pages of books.

After such a busy morning, it was time for the Owls to come back together for Morning Meeting.

Today, we celebrated an Owl birthday!

There are many different Fall festivities taking place around our school. The Owls went on a Scarecrow Hunt to search, learn, and count all of the scarecrows placed around our campus.

The Owls thought it would be fun to pose just like the Scarecrows!

Today was an exciting day, filled with tons of adventure!
Ask your Owl how many Scarecrows they found around campus!
