After Meeting for Worship, friends headed over to Art Class with Amanda.
Today, friends used clay to make Leaf Prints.
First, friends had to roll and pat their clay to make it as flat as a pancake.
Once friends flattened out their clay, it was time to put the leaves on top. Then, gently use a rolling pin to press the leaf into the clay.
After friends printed their leaves, they finished up by putting the clay into bowls.
All week long, the Owls have been studying and observing pumpkins. But, we still want to know more! Today, we recorded each pumpkins weight, height, number of seeds, and whether it has a stem or not.
During choice time, Owls picked out the pumpkin seeds in order to find out how many seeds are in each pumpkin.
"Picking out the seeds is disgustingly fun!" said some Owls.
Friends enjoy playing "Class," where one friend reads a book and shows the pictures, while the other friend listens.
Some Owls chose to use the magnatiles to build houses.
To go along with our Pumpkin theme, friends worked together to draw a gate that goes along with the "Five Little Pumpkins Sitting on a Gate" song.
Ask your Owl what a scale measures.
