Today in Spanish, the Owls got out their wings and were ready to fly to their next country.
One friend chose for the Owls to fly to Argentina.
Once the Owls landed in Argentina, they began learning about different types of transportation in spanish.
Avion (airplane)
Friends took turns playing a game using fly-swatters. Alicia would call out "Avion, carro, or tren." Then, friends would hit the corresponding picture.
At the end of spanish, Alicia allows for a friend to squeeze la vaca (the cow) to say muuuuchas gracias (thank you very much).
After Spanish, Owls had some time to play and run around outside. Some friends chose to play a game of hide and go seek!
Some Owls chose to hide under the climber.
"Ready or not, here we come!"
The Cardinals decided to play a trick on the Owls, and hid sock monkeys all around our classroom. The Owls went over to the Cardinals to let them know, "IT'S ON!"
After all the excitement early this morning, it was time for Morning Meeting, where one Owl read the class the Daily Schedule.
The Question of the Day: Do you know how to say hello in spanish?
During choice time, friends chose between watercolors...
...reading books...
...drawing...
...building with blocks...
...magnatiles...
Once the Cardinals went outside, it was time to trick them and hide the sock monkeys around their room!
Outside, we met a new friend playing in the pond.
Friends enjoy baking cakes with sand and wood-chips.
Friends painted blocks with chalk.
Ask your Owl if they remember how to say plane, car, or train in spanish?
-Avion, carro, tren
