"Hoot-tacular Day"

Hello Owl Families,

Today was not the day we had planned, but your Owl did a "hoot-tacular" job! We are very proud to say that the Owls were not only very flexible but also the youngest Middle School Students at AFS! The Owls enjoyed and performed a concert in the Auditorium. Each grade hopped up on stage and sang silly songs. The Owls along with the Cardinals and Catbirds sang Make New FriendsI in monster voices. After our concert, we watched Charlotte's Web. Friends were very excited and were enthusiastically shouting, "Thats Fern!" "It's Charlotte!". However, some friends were upset because Uncle (the pig) in the book was very large and very dirty, but in the movie, he was very clean! The Owls, being the Middle Schoolers they were, headed to the cafeteria where they were able to eat their lunches just like the "bigger kids"! We are so proud of the Owls, and we wanted to make sure we told you!

Also, the weather forecast for this week is supposed to be "Owl-fully" cold. So please make sure your Owl has winter wear (hats, gloves, scarves and winter boots) as well as extra changes of warm clothes, especially extra socks!

We hope you are staying warm and enjoying your night with your new Middle Schooler!

Yours "Hootly",

The Owls Teachers
Danielle and Samantha
